Featuring The Sticky Hickies and anita love 10€ entry LINE UP 5 : DJ Isa Spits (downtempo, disco) 8: anita love (queer bedroom pop) 9: The Sticky Hickies (sticky rock n’roll) 10:30: DJs Dance____98 & Zoë Duffy (art rock, post punk) 1am - late : DJ exkursion (synthpunk, wave) ----------------- The Sticky Hickies are an Alt-Rock band based in Berlin with members hailing from France, Australia and Syria ; known for their unique "sticky" sound and aesthetic. Their influences include blues rock, psychedelic and punk - producing music that's both pulsing and provocative; an unapologetically bold flavour of rock n roll with lyrics from a queer feminist perspective. Humming on a diet of oily riffs, punky bass and proud, powerful vocals , The Sticky Hickies concoct a high energy live show sticky with sweat and fruity beats. The Sticky Hickies are independant and self produced; since they formed in 2018, they have played live shows across Strasbourg and Berlin ; playing 11 gigs in 2022 alone . They produced a 12-track album of psychedelic experimental tracks, Brain Drain, in 2021 ; and are currently working on a cocky, 4-track high energy EP ; God Complex , to be released in 2023. ------------- anita love (@elioicaza) whispers dirty secrets to you from her pop music palace with genre-fluid hits that merge ambient, poetry, and four-on-the-floor grooves. She also produces several live music events across Berlin including: double dip: queer frequencies in ambient (Klunkerkranich); queer bedroom pop (Tipsy Bear/800A Bar & Cabaret); and queer open stage (SilverFuture). She is currently developing her debut EP, realizing her fantasy of releasing “little movies you can dance to.” Follow her on instagram at @elioicaza for updates and @queerbedroompop for shows. -------- DJs: Isa Spits https://soundcloud.com/isarude Dance____98 & Zoë Duffy (art rock, post punk, psych) https://refugeworldwide.com/.../b2b-day-dance____98-and... exkursion (synthpunk, wave, industrial) https://on.soundcloud.com/gKBXuNmim3M19YKUA ---------- GRRL TELEPHONE // 48 Stunden Neukölln at LOOPHOLE Video Art and Film Screening Exhibition of GRRL TELEPHONE GRRL TELEPHONE is a project we started during a time when events, exhibitions and screenings were paused due to the spread of COVID-19. We began it as a way to keep artists inspired to create new works and to stay connected with other artists during uncertain times. Based on the childhood game of “Telephone” where one participant starts with a sentence and then whispers that sentence to the next participant. This then follows to the next in line until the entire group has whispered what they heard from the previous person in line. The end product is usually a sentence that has then been changed through retelling and the outcome has humorous and playful results. Our interpretation of this popular game is an “ongoing visual conversation”. We start with one player who makes a short video (under 2 minutes) and then that player sends that work to the next participant. The next participant makes a piece in response to the work that they have received and so on. The “conversation” has now been going on since 2020, with over 80 artists responding to each other’s work. The rules of the game: -An artist receives an image / or micro short from us and then they have a week to make an image or micro short in response. -We then send that piece to the next artist in line, and they respond. It’s now become a project that consists of over 100 works by an international group of artists, and it is constantly expanding. The works can also be seen on our site at : https://www.grrlhauscinema.com/telephone.html and insta: @grrltelephone
